aspen leaves, sifting in the wind

1.
as (her gaze
fell down &) the
glass shattered

dreams became
reality &
(ended her
desire for the
unattainable)
she no longer had
want for life

2.
(ash)
her only remnants
scattered out at sea
dust in the wind
dryly fading away

floating over
the water's skin
(caresses) desolate
gales mourn at
the loss of nothing

3.
and she's harked:
erroneously regal

but jauntily kicking limbs
affirm new life; revivals
of heart & soul,
cries embracing vitality
